Post Fire Update

I think everyone has heard by now about the upheaval in our lives over the last few weeks, with the apartment fire and our immediate relocation. Our new apartment is great, and it’s finally starting to feel like we live here 🙂 since our cleaned furniture was brought in Monday and our cleaned clothing was brought in today (Friday). We lost about $6,000 worth of personal property (a big chunk of that is for our couch, which wouldn’t give up the ghost of smoky smell).

We have been so blessed – by people’s prayers, emails, notes, packages, giftcards, and more. It is especially heartwarming to us, to see how much everyone wants to help us get life back to normal for Jonas. We have received an abundance of clothing, and toys, and cloth diapers, and even bedding for him! A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who reached out and helped take care of us. God used you in big and small ways to impact our lives, and we can’t tell you how grateful we are.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”
