I think she’s pretty cute. Now we just have to figure out what to name her. (Jonas hasn’t suggested any superhero names for her so far. His one offering was ‘Victoria,’ which is at least a real girl name!)

I started working on Weekly Actions for next week

I started working on Weekly Actions for next week (the LAST week 😱 in my 2020 Mäksēlife!) and decided to pause for a look back at how this practice has developed over the year.

First of all, I'll confess that I didn't write Actions every single week -- but I only missed FOUR weeks this entire year!🙌💃 (The missing weeks were: March 2-8, April 6-12, May 18-24, and June 8-14. I'm especially proud that I didn't let those weeks knock me off kilter for long stretches and that as the summer turned to fall, I got more consistent.)

Secondly, I'll say this: I didn't have big or profound Actions in every area, every week. However, I did:
1️⃣review my Monthly Goals and consider my obligations and bandwidth for the week ahead,
2️⃣choose a few small steps that would move me closer to one or more of my goals,
3️⃣and put pen to paper!

And last, I want to share this reflection: I didn't check off every Action I set. I didn't meet every single Monthly or Annual goal that I set for 2020. But I DID make progress toward things that matter to me (which included making progress in discerning just what really matters to me!) and that's an awesome takeaway from hard year.

We spent the day playing board games (Trivial Purs

We spent the day playing board games (Trivial Pursuit Family Edition, Munchkin, Jumanji, Speak Out, and Clue) the evening driving around to look at Christmas lights.

I'll be honest, there was some squabbling this morning and some snarking in the car. But with a teen and a tween, some of that is just life🤷🏻‍♀️ and for the most part, it was just a really sweet and happy day.

Last week's spread. I wanted something bright & cheerful that would get me through the last week of school and this kit from @lemonandhoneystudio did the trick!

There's a header dedicated to "fun" to remind me each morning that's it's not just okay, it's important to create a little space for joy, wonder, and play in my day. 😊 It's all too easy for me to lose sight of that.

There are only a couple of weeks left in this planner. I may film a flip-through of the year and reflect on some of the different layouts & planning styles I've tried throughout the year -- including a few that were hot messes! 😳🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I started thinking about 2021 goals a few weeks ag

I started thinking about 2021 goals a few weeks ago with a mind map on scratch paper, then moved the winning options to color-coordinated sticky notes in my new planner. Today I've "sat with them" long enough -- I'm putting pen to paper and getting 2021 goals in my Mäksēlife!

(Also, working on a move-in video to share tomorrow 🎥😁 If you haven't started moving in to your planner yet, what are your biggest questions or hesitations?)
