Happy Thanksgiving!

We have so much to be thankful for, this year as always. We are so thankful that Chris has been cancer-free for five years. We are thankful that Jonas is here, healthy and happy, and changing our lives every day. We are thankful for Chris’ job at Vanderbilt, and his job lined up for next year in Cincinnati. We are thankful that we all are safe after this summer’s fire, and we are eternally grateful for good insurance coverage and amazing friends and family who got us back on our feet. For all our blessings, the big and the small, the remarkable and the daily, we give thanks.

We are actually celebrating Thanksgiving on Friday this year, due to Chris’ work schedule. I set the Tivo to record the Macy’s Parade, and we’re just going to pretend that the whole holiday is happening tomorrow! We figure Jonas won’t even know the difference at this age, and it will be nice to have our big meal and relax and then get out our Christmas decorations on one of Chris’ days off. Later today I’m going to try to upload a new Shutterfly album of recent pictures, and I’ll be sure to post the link here when it’s ready.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving – and if you’re brave enough to shop on Black Friday, then good luck & good deals to you!
