It’s Meme Again, Margaret!

Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4 and write what it says.
“whispering, ‘She is dead, she is dead,’ and the twins in Auntie” (Measuring Time, byHelon Habila)

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What can you touch?
Chris’s right arm. The laptop (duh!). Bed pillows.

What is the last thing you watched on TV? The Today Show

Without looking, guess what time it is.
Before 4:00, because Jonas isn’t awake from his afternoon nap yet.

With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
An airplane flying over our house. The ice-cream truck. Chris breathing.

When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
A few minutes ago. Getting the mail.

Before you started this survey, what did you look at?
Breed ‘Em & Weep…. poor Sophie has learned the truth about Santa.

Did you dream last night?
Yes, and it was a bad dream, but once I got all the way awake I couldn’t remember it. Hate when that happens.

When did you last laugh?
Probably over lunch, at Jonas’ funny faces and food antics.

What is on the walls of the room you are in?
A not-too-ugly curtain left by the previous owners, two palm tree prints in decent frames, and a counted cross-stitch that Chris’ mom made for his dad when he was a little boy.

Seen anything weird lately?
Unfortunately, there are a number of surgical journals and manuals lying around the house, so: yes.

What do you think of this Meme?
It’s better than cleaning the bathroom, which is what I should be doing right now.

What is the last film you saw?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
This house. My new car. My old car. Everything in the Pottery Barn Kids & Hanna Andersson catalogs. A new wardrobe from Ann Taylor Loft. Dining room furniture.

Tell me something about you that I don’t know?
I’m sort of afraid of making phone calls to people I don’t know.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would you do?
I am so overwhelmed by the enormity of the possibilities, I don’t even know.

Comment to President Bush.
Lame duck!

Would you ever consider living abroad?
I doubt it. My goal in life is to STOP MOVING. I just want to pick one place and live there ’til I die. Is that so much to ask?

What do you want to say to God when you get to heaven?
Thank you. And please pass the chocolate.

And now, I tag you people, to go forth and meme: Genny & Kari
