We’re heading out of town today, as soon as Chris gets home post-call this morning. It’s off to North Georgia, for Andrea’s high school graduation! She was in 4th grade when we started dating; I remember going home from Shorter on Friday afternoons and picking her up from school. She would be so excited to be a “car rider” instead of staying in after care, that she would positively BOUNCE all the way out to Chris’ old Beretta. Her giggle was infectious, her smile was sweet, and her attitude was always wonderful. Come to think of it, I guess she hasn’t changed too much over the years!
She has grown into such a lovely young woman. She’s been a hard worker and an awesome student – she’s graduating with an impressive GPA and a whole slew of honors under her belt. We are so proud of her! Andrea will be going off to West Georgia in the fall, where she plans to major in accounting (hmmm, what are the odds that I’d end up with TWO sisters-in-law going to the same college and getting the same degree!? Isn’t that crazy?!). We know she’s going to have a blast.
We’ll be back home on Sunday, and I promise pics of the radiant grad, the very-cool-if-I-do-say-so-myself gift we got her, and Jonas and Susannah enjoying the fun. Ta!
