I abandoned the sinking ship of Twitter long before it changed its name to X, and while I probably could have lived a wonderful life without ever adding a new social media platform back into my routines…
I did miss some of the connections I made there. I enjoyed following witty people who told great short-form stories and I learned SO much about the publishing world and querying process from writers, agents, and editors.
I tried a few alternates that popped up, but nothing felt like the “space to chat and see what’s happening” that I had felt in my old Twitter sphere.
When Threads launched, I was super excited to give it a try. Now that lots of folks are over there and connections are forming again, it feels like a happier, healthier version of the old Twitter atmosphere I used to love.
