Once upon a time, a sweet baby boy was born.
As the years went by, he became an adorable first grader…
…and an award-winning cow handler.
Eventually he became a college graduate,
and then he became a cancer patient – and then a cancer survivor.
And because he had found the lovely love of his life, he became a husband.
Not too long after that, by the grace of God, he became a father.
Just a few months later, he became a physician (and then he became an intern!)
A few more years went by. The man became a father again,
and then he became a thirty-year-old. And he lived happily ever after.
*When Jonas counts by rote, he gets his numbers perfectly up through 29. Next, he says, “Twenty-ten!” And I say, “No, next is thirty.” And he says, “Okay, thirty. 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, thirty-ten.” And I say, “No, next is forty.” And so forth and so on.

Happy Birthday Chris! Welcome to the thirty and over club.
Michelle, this is an excellent blog!
What a great post! Beautifully written!
The 30-10 thing is such a very funny and common thing for little ones to do…it actually shows how smart they are to apply it that way. Aw…so cute and such fun times!
